Katie joined Ramsay Brown in 2017, where she provides technical and strategic advice on complex issues, including superannuation, financial analysis, and restructuring for healthcare professionals and specialists. Katie is a leading voice on key issues faced by GPs. She has campaigned against the unfair reporting of GP salaries and has long called for an overhaul of the pension processing system. Her focus is on transforming the sector’s accountancy and administration practices, especially pension reporting, to lessen the risk of professional burnout among doctors.
Katie attended the University of Nottingham, where she obtained a BA Hons in Modern Language Studies. She is proficient in multiple languages, including French, Portuguese, and Spanish – a skill that has proven advantageous in her work with international offices through the years.
Katie sat as the Vice Chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Healthcare Advisory Group, leading the group in discussions surrounding the key issues facing the sector and how to support their members with the accounting and tax issues they encounter. In 2016, Katie was selected by the ICAEW as the leading accountant under 30 to represent the Institute internationally at the One Young World 2016 summit in Ottowa, Canada.
Before entering accountancy, Katie worked in the music industry as a band manager and music video producer.
